January 13, 2012 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports a woman was injured when struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk near an elementary school.
According to Fullerton Police Lt. John Siko, the woman was struck in the crosswalk, at approximately 8:20 a.m. in the crosswalk at Richman Avenue and Baker Avenue in Fullerton. The crosswalk is located adjacent to the Woodcrest Elementary School, Lt. Siko said.
The woman was lying in the crosswalk in front of a Honda Civic, when officers arrived on the scene.
According to Lt. Siko the woman was transported to St. Jude Medical Center and the investigation is continuing into the accident to determine how it occurred.
Lt. Siko said did not know the details of the woman’s injuries.
