Victims Choose Auto Injury Lawyers to Protect their Rights after Car Accidents

Automobile accidents can be frustrating, expensive, and dangerous whether you live in Santa Barbara, Marina Del Rey, Torrance, or any other California city. When the accident is due to another’s negligence the frustration is compounded by uncertainty. The victim of the accident may wonder if they will ever get repaid for their medical costs, if they will be able to get the procedures they need, and if they will ever see a dime for their losses. However, accidents don’t have to be this way. Auto injury lawyers can help the victim of car accidents to have a more certain and less frustrating healing and recovery.

Medical evaluation and treatment must be taken seriously after any accident. Some of the most dangerous injuries are the least obvious at first. The victim simply cannot afford to wait to get testing done until the other party pays because they may never do so. An auto injury lawyer can, instead, help facilitate not only the extensive testing that many injuries require, but also treatment. Furthermore, an experienced auto accident lawyer can estimate future medical expenses and include those in the settlement request so that the victim is covered long after the accident.

Instead of having to worry whether or not their own insurance company will cover their procedures, the auto injury lawyer’s expert resources can advise the patient and help assure that if the patient needs a procedure or test, that they can get it and that the cost will be recovered.

If the victim took care of matters on their own, it is true that the negligent party’s insurance company might offer a settlement. However, settlements are usually offered way after medical care is needed and are often very low, not nearly covering the true costs of the accident. With an auto injury lawyer, the victim has an expert on his side who can advise him when to accept a settlement and when to pass.

If the case ends up going to court, the lawyer can protect the victim there and gather a higher end-settlement amount. Overall, hiring an auto injury lawyer is a sound move for the victim who not only wants to protect themselves medically, but financially. Personal Injury Victims in East Los Angeles: Know Your Rights

Injuries occur daily to people in East Los Angeles as a result of the negligence of another party other than the victim. When one is victimized by another and receives injuries, they have the right to file a claim against the negligent party. The personal injury claims are often represented by an attorney in court to bolster their success. Understanding your rights concerning injuries can help you determine whether or not a claim is right for you.

Some examples of personal injuries include the following:

  • Car, motorcycle, bicycle, train, or bus accidents
  • Slips and falls
  • Work-related injuries
  • Medical negligence and malpractice
  • Repetitive motion and other industrial type injuries
  • Pedestrian accidents
  • Assault injuries
  • Product liability

One would assume that if a victim is injured, the responsible party would step up and pay for the medical bills. Unfortunately, more often the other party will refuse responsibility or even put the blame back on the victim. Injuries necessitate immediate medical evaluation and treatment. The injured victim simply doesn’t have the luxury of waiting for the negligent party to finally step up and do what is right. The victim may find their rights being neglected and their needs being put off by the other party or their insurance company and attorneys.

A personal injury lawyer can step in for the victim and help them file a claim against the negligent party. When immediate medical care is needed, the attorney can help facilitate that care even before the other party pays. A qualified attorney will have experience and experts that enable him to determine not only the type of treatments and testing the victim should expect immediately, but the type of long-term costs for which the victim should seek and expect repayment.

Rather than getting fooled by insurance companies who might offer a low settlement to the victim, the attorney can protect the victim from low-ball offers and push for an offer that truly will repay the victim for their losses, both medical and mental. In court, an attorney will stand strong against the accusations of the other side to ensure that the victim does get a better settlement and full protection.

If you or your loved one from East Los Angeles or the surrounding areas such as 633 West Fifth Street, 28th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071, 213.596.9642, is injured due to the negligence of another, a personal injury attorney Los Angeles County, can help you protect your rights and security as well as obtain higher settlements.
