Three Children Injured in Placentia—Two in Critical Condition

January 24, 2011 - According to reports three children were injured in a Monday afternoon traffic collision.

According to Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Greg McKeown three children were injured Monday afternoon with one child being pinned under a vehicle.

According to authorities the accident occurred in the vicinity of Valencia Avenue at Golden Avenue at approximately 2:30 p.m. The three children were struck by one or two vehicles and it is unclear if they were struck on the sidewalk or in the intersection.

According to Capt. Greg McKeown airbags were used to life the car off of the boy that was trapped underneath. He and another child were transported to a trauma center.
The names and ages of the children have not been released and the cause of the accident remains under investigation, according to Placentia Police Capt. Ward Smith.

Authorities Investigate Speeding Driver that Caused the Newport Beach 10 Car Pile-up

January 18, 2011- According to reports authorities are investigating the speeding driver that was responsible for the 10 car Newport Beach pile-up.

The driver that authorities’ state was responsible for the 10 vehicle pile-up in Newport Beach have identified her as Julie Allen age 27 and one of the three victims that died in the crash.

According to authorities they are investigating if Allen who was driving a Taurus was traveling at approximately 90 mph at the time of the collision was taking some type of medication.

Allen’s mother’s website her daughter had had an episode where her Taurus accelerator stuck and she was able to get the vehicle off the side of the road putting the vehicle in neutral and then placing it in park to get it to stop.

Investigators stated Allen’s vehicle was traveling so fast that during the collisions it launched into the air.
