Pedestrian Struck and Killed In Carson Hit and Run—Police are Seeking a Black Mustang
November 27, 2011 - According to reports a pedestrian was killed in a hit and run accident and police are seeking a black Mustang.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies who responded to reports of a pedestrian involved in a hit and run at approximately 10:00 p.m. in the vicinity of Martin and Jay streets in Carson.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies found a man dead on the road, near the intersection and he was identified as Papaiva Masaga age 58.
Masaga suffered massive traumatic head and body injuries during the hit and run. Sheriff’s deputies stated that Masaga was walking at the time he was struck by a black Mustang.
According to sheriff’s deputies the 1994-1998 Ford Mustang was last seen traveling westbound on 223rd Street from Main Street.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department believes that the Ford Mustang will have severe damage to the front passenger area of the vehicle and authorities are asking anyone with information about the hit and run or the driver of the vehicle to contact the Carson Sheriff’s Department.
