June 20, 2011 - According to reports a pedestrian has died after being struck and killed. According to authorities the pedestrian being struck was reported at approximately 4:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway after a Los Angeles pedestrian accident.
According to witnesses the man that has been identified as being in his sixties ran into traffic on the 101 Freeway and was struck by a pickup.
The incident occurred in Los Angeles in the vicinity of the northbound 101 Freeway after the Vignes Street exit. According to authorities the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Police are unsure what the man, whose identity has not been released was doing on the northbound lanes of traffic.
According to authorities traffic was diverted at Vignes Street and was allowed back on the 101 Freeway at Alameda Street. The northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway were closed after the Los Angeles car crash.
