May 31, 2011 - According to reports a four car pileup in the northbound lanes of the I-5 resulted in injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol a multi-vehicle crash occurred in the northbound lanes of the I-5 at approximately 1:20 p.m.
The crash involved a 1968 Jaguar that investigators suspect lost a right rear wheel, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, there was a Honda Civic, a Toyota Yaris and a big rig.
The California Highway Patrol stated that three people involved in crash in the Toyota Yaris were a injured. This included the driver and two children that were transported from the scene of the crash to the UCI Medical Center.
The four vehicle crash closed two of the northbound lanes of the I-5, while the accident was cleared and investigators inspected the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
