Soccer Player David Beckham Involved in 405 Freeway Crash

May 9, 2011 - According to reports soccer player David Beckham and his 12 year old son were involved in a crash on the 405 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol Beckham was driving a Cadillac on the 405 Freeway in the southbound lanes in the vicinity of Artesia Boulevard Friday. The 40 year old soccer player struck a stalled Mitsubishi.

Beckham stopped at the scene of the crash, stopping his vehicle in the carpool lane, since this area of the freeway has no shoulder. Neither he nor his 12 year old son, Brooklyn that was reported to be a passenger in the vehicle were injured.

The California Highway Patrol stated the driver of the stalled Mitsubishi was transported to the hospital for pain.

Beckham was not cited for the crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.
