Doctor In Michael Jackson’s Alleged Wrongful Death Wants Dismissal of Charges

September 16, 2010-According to reports the attorney for Dr. Conrad Murray requested a federal judge to dismiss the charges against his client.

The wrongful death lawsuit filed by Michael Jackson’s father according to Murray’s attorney should be dismissed, since the elder Jackson is not a beneficiary of his son’s estate.

The motions that will be heard October 18th Murry’s attorney stated that the wrongful death lawsuit is filled with arguments that are more like a press release that could prejudice the jury, jury pool and public. There is also the fact that Joe Jackson was omitted from the singer’s 2002 will.

Joe Jackson’s lawsuit was filed on the June 25th, which was the one year mark since the singers death. The suit seeking over $75,000 in damages, states Dr. Murry acted negligently in providing Michael Jackson with a mixture of sedatives. These sedatives included the anesthetic propofol that attributed to Jackson’s death.
Brian Oxman attorney for Joe Jackson stated the lawsuit is drafted properly, describing the facts as they occurred daily and minute by minute.
