Teen Tagging Freeway Struck And Killed On Pomona Freeway

According to reports by at least one Los Angeles personal injury attorney, the California Highway Patrol a 17 year old Riverside teen was struck and killed on the 60 Freeway.

Several vehicles struck the teen identified as Blake Locko at approximately 2:15 a.m. in the vicinity east of Hall Avenue. Locko was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at approximately 2:30 a.m. according to the coroner’s office.

According to witnesses and the California Highway Patrol the teen was seen tagging the center divider on the Pomona Freeway was reported to be standing in the westbound carpool lane. When Locko was first struck and was thrown over the five foot high divider into the eastbound carpool lane of the freeway.

F-22 Fighter Jet Crashes In Desert

According to reports by airplane accident lawyers, an F-22 fighter jet crashed in the California desert.

The Air Force jet was on a test mission and crashed six miles north of the Harbor Dry Lakebed according to Air Force Maj. David Small from the Pentagon.

This is a two engine stealth jet that is flown by a single pilot and it is unknown if the pilot had time to eject or not according to Maj. Small.

The jet is a part of the 412th Test Wing and is a cost of $140 million dollars, and is a war plane capable of air to air missiles, radar evading and is able to fly at supersonic speeds without leaving after burn.

The plane was built by the Lockheed Martin Corporation and is powered by two Pratt & Whitney engines, it is 62 feet in length and has a wing span of 44 ½ feet.

Marines Injured Toll Rises to 59 On Way To Norfolk

According to reports by car accident lawyers, authorities in Jones Count North Carolina and Marine Corps Captain Clark Carpenter at least 13 Marines were injured this morning in a bus crash while on their way to Norfolk Virginia.

The Marines that were traveling from Camp Lajeune on three tour buses heading to Norfolk Virginia with 59 Marines and one sailor aboard.

The buses were approximately 20 miles from Camp Lajeune on U.S. Highway 17 in the vicinity of Marysville when investigators believe the third bus did not stop for traffic and struck the bus it was following.

According to the Jones County authorities the crash occurred at approximately 7:45 a.m. and Captain Carpenter stated the bus driver had been critically injured and was air lifted to a hospital.

Captain Carpenter also stated there were no Marines seriously injured and were transported to the Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital for treatment. The injuries were described as routine and the Captain did not elaborate further on the extent of the Marines injuries. He also stated that the Marines have trained for mass casualty incidents and were able to help each other after the crash. They were also able to assist the paramedics that arrived on the scene of the crash.

The Marines that were not injured in the crash were boarded on new buses and left for Norfolk where the Marines that are all from the 22nd Expeditionary Unit at Camp Lejeune will undergo training exercises March 10th. The exercises are part of their training program with the Bataan Strike Group prior to deploying this spring to the European and Middle East regions.
