Fiery Car Crash Fatally Injures 5 Foreign Students And 1 American

According to reports by car accident lawyers in Los Angeles, and the California Highway Patrol a vehicle carrying foreign students in southern California crashed fatally injuring six of the seven people involved in the accident.

The crash occurred late Thursday on the 101 Highway in the vicinity of Los Alamos, part way between Santa Maria and Solvang, known as a California vineyard region.

According to the California Highway Patrol spokesperson Fran Clader, the vehicle drifted into the center median, the driver then over corrected the vehicle and lost control. The vehicle then crossed the southbound lanes where it then traveled down an incline and struck a tree. The reason the vehicle drifted into the center median is unknown at this time.

Six students were fatally injured in the crash, all reportedly in their 20’s, two of which were ejected from the vehicle. there were three French women, a Russian and Turkish women also fatally injured and an American man identified as being in his 30’s and a professional in San Francisco.

The driver a French woman identified as Jeanne Ostrowski age 19 was hospitalized with major injuries and is expected to survive according to spokesman Clader.

The foreigners in the vehicle were attending a private school where they were studying English in San Francisco. It was also reported one of the French women was attending a ballet school that was involved in the crash.

Man Hit While Crossing Interstate 5 North Of Los Angeles

According to reports by wrongful death injury lawyers in Los Angeles, the California Highway Patrol a man was struck and killed while crossing Interstate 5 in an area north of downtown Los Angeles.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer David Porter the accident occurred at approximately 4:30 am in the northbound lanes when a man that is in his 20’s was struck and killed while trying to cross the lanes. The man whose identity has not been released pending notification of his next of kin was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The Los Angeles car accident occurred in the vicinity of the Los Angeles River closing all of the northbound lanes and leaving one lane on the northbound side open until approximately 6:30 a.m.

Storm Hits Orange County Accident Numbers Rising

According to reports by rain accident lawyers in California, the third Pacific storm moved through the Orange County area leaving roadways slippery and vehicle accidents on the rise.

Accidents have been reported in Orange County, which occurred in several areas, there was a two vehicle crash on the 57 freeway in Anaheim, in the area of the Ball Road exit. No other details have been released about the accidents or injured victims,

The southbound lane of I-5 was a scene in the rollover accident in the area of westbound 22. The vehicle involved has been reported as a gray Toyota 4 Runner, the identity of the driver has not been released. There has been no report of injuries or passengers.

The area near Jeffery Road on the northbound lanes of the 405 freeway was the scene of a two vehicle accident. There have been no identities released or information about injuries.

There was an accident involving a white Ford Explored that struck the center divider in the northbound lanes of the 241 in the vicinity of Los Alisos Boulevard. There were reportedly injuries were sustained. There has been no other information released.

Hit And Run Driver Who Struck A Mother and Two Children Pleads Not Guilty

According to reports the driver charged with allegedly hitting a woman and her two children and leaving the scene of the accident has pleaded not guilty. The driver identified as Henry Moreno pleaded not guilty in Los Angeles Superior Court to the charges against him, which are vehicular manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident and driving under the influence.

The charges stem from an accident that occurred at approximately 6:10 PM in the vicinity of Bonnie Brea Street and Olympic Boulevard. When according to witnesses he failed to stop his vehicle at a red light and struck the woman and her two children that were in a stroller in a designated crosswalk.

Moreno was driving a Honda, when he failed to stop, the woman sustained minor injuries, her 11 month old child was pronounced dead at the hospital and her five year old child sustained a fractured skull and a fractured home according to police.

A witness to the accident followed the vehicle until he was able to get the drivers license plate number, and return to the scene of the accident where he gave the information to the police according to reports by Los Angeles personal injury lawyers.
