Fullerton Man Killed Santa Fe Springs

November 30, 2009 (by Horatio Algren) According to reports a Fullerton man was killed in an accident on the I-5 Freeway Friday.

According to the California Highway Patrol a man that has been identified as Keun Park was injured an accident that occurred on Friday November 13th at approximately 2:20 a.m. At the time of the crash Park was driving a 2000 Honda Accord in the southbound lanes of the I-5 Freeway, in the vicinity north of Boulevard.

Park turned left for unknown reasons, striking a metal divider, with the impact causing the Honda to go out of control into the lanes of traffic striking a 2008 GMC Yukon in the rear. The Honda then spun across the No. 1 lane where it was hit by a 1999 Acura Integra.

The collision between the Honda and the Acura caused major damage to the Honda and the impact caused the Acura to rollover coming to rest across the southbound No.2 and No. 3 lanes.

According to authorities the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene of the crash. There were two injured victims transported to the L.A. County USC Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Park was transported to the St. Francis Medical Center with major injuries and died two weeks later on Friday at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Anaheim at 9:25 a.m.
