Three Weekend Fatalities On 57 Freeway

According to reports by motor vehicle accident lawyers in Orange County, three people sustained fatal injuries in two separate accidents during the weekend on the 57 Freeway.

The California Highway Patrol stated that a pedestrian was running on the 57 Freeway in the vicinity of the 91 Freeway interchange when the person identified as a male was struck by two vehicles. It is suspected the man was intoxicated at the time he was struck on the freeway at approximately 11:30 p.m. It has not been released why the man was running along the freeway at the time of the accident.

The second accident on the 57 Freeway took the life of two passengers in a vehicle the California Highway Patrol reported was traveling at approximately 85 miles per hour. When the diver swerved off the freeway crashing into a tree in the vicinity south of Imperial Highway. Due to the impact when the vehicle struck the tree it burst into flames, the driver and passenger in the front seat escaped the vehicle. The two passengers in the back seat did not make it out of the vehicle and were killed.

According to the California Patrol the driver who had fled the scene was found a short time later and was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughters while intoxicated.
