Several days after the greatest Metrolink train accident in the history of California, fire and other emergency services announced they were finished recovering dead bodies, and that there are now 25 people known dead. At least forty other victims are hospitalized in serious to critical condition in LA and surrounding hospitals.
Conjecture of the how the Metrolink crash occurred is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board. Since they have lead the investigation, a Metrolink spokeswoman admitted fault and quickly resigned from Metrolink after she placed the fault on train engineer, Robert Sanchez, who was apparently text messaging a teen, which caused him to miss a red signal, causing a head on collision between his train and a freight train on the same tracks.
